I am barely surviving on a small, U.S. Army veteran's non-service connected disability pension. And due to degenerative back disease, I cannot accept any commercial photography or writing assignments. Consequently, I rarely get paid for any of my photography or written works. Fortunately though, I am self-driven to do as much photography and writing as I can and to share it on the World Wide Web--where most of the photos on my blogs/poor man's web sites can be downloaded for free for anyone's personal use. I have hundreds of unused photo negatives that need to be turned into great photographs, and my plans to produce more photographs are nearly endless. Take this into consideration with the fact that much of my work on the Internet shows and promotes the absolute best of both my hometown area of Eastern Baltimore County and City in Maryland and then also the good life way up in Northern Maine, plus some of my published work tells what everyday life was like for average American GIs on Okinawa during 1970+71--it speaks for tens of thousands of Okinawa veterans. I am doing the best I can to be awarded a full service connected disability rating and also am fighting to receive moneys owed to me from my Aunt Martha Clarke's substantial estate in Northern Maine and on the Eastern Shore in Maryland. Take all of these facts into consideration, and you might see where my work may deserve a little of your kind help.
Thank you.
You Can Download Any Photos Off Of This Site You Want, But Please Make A Fair Donation
You are welcomed to download any of the photos on here that you want. If you take any photos off of here, all I ask is either a small donation through my PayPal account or a good trade. The first photos that were traded from one of my web sites were swapped for two delicious strips of venison tenderloin. If you want any of the photos for commercial uses, I need donations like professional grade camera and computer equipment or lots of money placed into my PayPal account (you can access my PayPal account further down in this column). I also have some 8x10s of these photographs that I custom, hand printed myself in Dundalk Community College's photo lab that are for sale. Get 'um while you can, because nearly everything in the photography world is done digitally now, consequently, I will probably never get to print photos in a wet lab again. I sure did love it though.
Thank You
About Me
David Crews
I'm a 59 year old man who has lived and worked all up and down the East Coast of the USA, from Patten, Maine down to Key West, Florida. I have lived way out in the woods, in small towns, big cities, resort beach towns, but here I am back where I grew up at in Dundalk, Maryland again. I was a U.S. Army Photographer in 1969-71, stationed on Okinawa. I was a bear hunting guide in Maine, a blast furnace laborer for Bethlehem Steel, an office furniture delivery truck driver, a Book Mobile driver, Ferris Wheel Operator Extraordinaire, I drove a cab (sporadically because my back kept getting worse), I was a security guard in several places--including Key West Ocean Side Marina. I am saddled and bridled by a bad back and a good dose of depression, but I ain't dead yet. I survive on a small, monthly, non-service connected Veterans Administration disability check, and this freakin' poverty has just about worn me out. I need a modern computer, an editor for my writing, a financial backer for my photography efforts, and a sweet, young, 40 something year old woman to love and admire and have and hold and enjoy a great time with while living out the rest of our lives to the fullest.
